Our Story

If you know the Bolivar area, you probably know the Lockhart family. And if you know the Lockhart family, you definitely know amazing BBQ.

More than that, the Lockhart’s are all about love for food and love for family. We know that food is the best of love languages. Natives to southwest Missouri, the Lockhart’s have called Bolivar home for more than thirty years.

David and Cindi Lockhart own Curly Que with their son Jake Lockhart. The three of them have grown CQ from catering business to food truck to full restaurant/catering service. On the weekdays, you can find the owners running the smokers and serving guests like they would their own family. On the weekends, they are serving up delicious meals at weddings too! On rare days off, you can find them fishing, camping, and cooking with their family!
